Any recommendations on a tuner?
I was looking into having my car professionally tuned, but I can't find a tuner who isn't overpriced, or who I've been told to stay away from. I called SoCal Tuning and the guy wants $750. I thought that sounded unreasonable, considering my friend had his supercharged mustang tuned for $650 including the chip he had to buy.

it's a little drive, but take it out to CMS. Give them a call or PM Ryne here and they will certainly take care of you. If it makes you feel better on the drive part, I live in Modesto and still go to Ryne for work and tuning
While there are many capable tuners out there, i feel it's always best to have someone who specializes in LSx vehicles do the tuning on them

We offer full chassis dyno tuning on eddy current loaded Mustang 1100SE Chassis Dyno.
Full custom dyno tune on most Fbodies runs $300 including dyno time, radical large cammed etc may run up to $400 total. We also offer full 2/3 bar speed density tuning for forced induction cars as well.
We are located in Bakersfield, CA.

I can't quote them on tuning prices but I believe they are in a similar ballpark as to what's posted above by CSP, and as Jim mentioned, tunes are based on mods done to the car. Heavily modded big cam etc typically run a little more then a basic bolt-on

Thanks...
Ya... I hate leaving a half-built webstore up so I have all the product down until I finish getting them all added.
You wouldnt believe how much time it takes to add each part one by one. Average 5 minutes per part number and theres about 500 to do...takes awhile
We should have our how-to, customers builds and other sections done next month as well. Doing it all myself so pretty time consuming.
96blackta: If you are closer to CMS they would be able to take care of you. (South OC/LA I believe)

I would personally recommend Haddad Motorsports. Mike Haddad is a good friend of mine and he has done all of my tuning. He also has one of the best dyno's around for load tuning and he is a LOT closer to you.
Give him a call and tell him I sent you his way.

no, I totally understand. I'm currently attempting to build my own website for my racing. Takes so much time, I'm in front of the computer through most the day at work looking over job costs, last thing I want to do is look at it more after

I tried tuning mine myself when I first build it but there's a lot of guess work involved when your starting out. Just take it down to CMS and get it tuned, then build off of that tune with your friend, that's what I did and I wish I would have done it from the start. These engine's cost way too much to learn the hard way on....
