A catted Y won't really do much for you right now, and plus you'll need a new one when you put on longtubes. I'd leave the stock one on until you swap out your exhaust manifolds.

im with (redneck z) you dont need a "y" pipe untill you get headers.. But when you do i recomend TSP 1 7/8 headers and catted 3 inch Y pipe..Cant beat the price and sound and performance are great..

bigger primary pipes flow better up top..and according to different sponsors on this forumn they dont loose any power down low either..And if you might go with more inches later might as well just by headers once..

You need to be calling Vengeance racing for the GMMG exhaust
As for primary size a lot of people go with 1 7/8 cause they are going to go bigger displacement later. Bigger engine. But if you are staying stock size. 1 3/4 will be fine. You wont lose any power with the smaller header.

I've never understood how 1/8 of an inch could make that much of a difference...just doesn't seem like it would...
