Default Alarm question?

Since the new audio system is in the car now,I want to add some sort of paging capabilities to it.Are there add ons for the factory alarm or should I just replace it with a new one? Any suggestions on a new alarm? Thanks

I believe you'll just have to replace it with an alarm with the capability to have a signal sent to the remote. I can't think of any brands at the moment but I've seen a few not too badly priced.

I like my Prestige 997a. . . . It was not too bad of a install in my Impala. . . Way cheap, works like a champ.

Yep another Prestige 997a satisfied customer here.
Great range and works awesome with tons of great features, in your case the shock sensor.

I still kind of like the 791xv and the the like better. . . . But, the Prestige is almost as efficient. I think the range is a bit better on the DEI models.

Yet the 996a and the 997a and 997n are all great. They are all the same really.

But, you could be a trooper and try out the XR9000. . . Supposedly a 1 mile range. Or even better, get a Scytek VS8000. . . . It has a built in camera that takes pictures when the alarm is triggered and sends them to your color LCD pager.

I really wanted to get the Scytek, but I pussied out. I have never seen one work, yet I am very familiar with the rest.
