Wire harness questoin ls1 into 95 ta

Default Wire harness questoin ls1 into 95 ta

ok so i was hooking up my engine harness after i had it modified to fit the lt1 car and i cant figure out where this one conector goes i know the harness is on right though maybe some one would kno... its a two prong connector that has a brown and black wit white tracer and seperate purple ground. its on the passenger side of the motor ne help would be great

Post a picture of it. A purple wire shouldn't be a ground. Is it a #10 wire?

I will try to get a pic up by tomorow.. i dont think its as big as a #10 but im fairly sure its a ground bc it has an I-let on the end

Fat ppl wire is the starter solenoid. I can say with certainty because GM didnt use large gauge ppl wiring for anything else (except short lengths in FWD fuse blocks)

It has a ring terminal on one end approx 3/16" dia with a single inline connector on the other

The only brown and blk/wht I can think of is the low oil level sensor in the oilpan. As said above the purple is the starter solenoid.

i figured the ground was for the starter the low oil sensor is already connected but this wire runs in the same area?...

The purple wire is not a ground. Black wires are grounds. When you turn the key the purple wire is 12 volts to trigger the starter solenoid. Take a picture of the connector with the brown & black/white and we may be able to figure it out.

i figured it out i had my parts guy look it up on his data base i had two wires in the wrong place the connector wit the black and brown wire goes to the oil level switch and the other goes a connector by the flywheel... ne way thanks guys

There is no connector near the flywheel

i beg the differ ther is one rite by where the starter goes into the bell housing

In that proximity, the crank sensor, cam sensor and oil pressure sender are both equally distant from the flywheel

There are no sensors that monitor the fly/flex or are in the general area of them
