Default Short Stick B&M Shifter

Has abyone cut the stick on the B&M shifter and rethreaded it I got one from a friend for free and I bought it before and sent it back because it was to high and long but was thinking of cutting it and rethreading the stick ?

Well my friiends farther has a machine shop with all the things u would need just wondering if anyone has done it

Yes...cut one of my old B&M Rippers down 2" and had it rethreaded so I could use a pistol grip shifter. It worked fine with that shifter handle, but any other "normal" **** sat too low with it cut that short.

was it too low for ur tast or was it hard to get into gears with a round (normal) **** ?

With a standard, round ****, it was a little low for my taste, but it worked perfectly with a pistol-grip type of handle. I wasn't a huge fan of how the pistol grip looked, so I went back to a regular length B&M (yep, I actually bought another one), and finally to the MGW I have now. Both B&M shifters sit in a box for when I get off my lazy *** and decide to try and sell them...

This was obviously with the pistol-grip handle installed. I don't think I ever took pics of it with a standard **** before taking it off. Sorry
