Paint and options.
Hey guys I'm on a budget and all the local body shops want to charge me 4k on a paint job. I think thats seriously ridiculous! Only macco has offered me a fair price but i've heard a lot of stories about them and how bad their paint is. My car has a silver color which was painted by the prevous owner and did a god awful job
It is now chipping here and there, I originally wanted a basic gloss black, nothing special like the ZL1 concept.
I do not know where to begin I know I'm gonna need some sanding paper for prep. What grade I donno, maybe a little bondo but nothing to serious, some primer and paint itself.
I'm really considering the rustoluem paint job, i've done some research on it. The "50 dollar" paint looks decent from what i've seen. It looks like a beginner project for a guy like me. I have the confidence, the garage to do it. However I do not have an air compressor so I can't spray it.
Has anyone had experience with using rustoluem?.
