You could disconnect the battery if you like, but pulling the fuse would be just as safe. You need to remove the dash to get the passenger's side bag out. There are a couple write ups floating around here somewhere for A/c removal that should help you with removing the airbag.

I have the car empty and the batt is already disconnected. So if I just snip the wires the air bag isnt gonna go boom when put the battery in or something? Them things are scary!!!

I removed mine when I had the dash completley out. I have read that some people have gotten it out with the dash partially un bolted. you'll be fine the airbags wont go off, if your still woried disconnect the airbag (conector right at the airbag) then do what ever cutting you wanna do.

Ya I know the feeling, its pretty heavy eh. I've deleted as much stuff as I can without cutting pieces off the car.
