problem with install on new gears on my 20002 ws6 trans am just bought a 4.10 motive gear set with the master install kit and my mechanic is having a problem with the instalation the new ring gear is thicker than the stock , there is a block thats supposed to slide in to hold the c (the older rears this would be a pin )well with the increased thickness of the gear this block will not slide in . has anyone incountered this problem and ifso how do i go about fixing it ?
