Default 1998 computer and harness to what 4l60e???

OK I am puttign a ls1 into my dodge ram..haha i know..., I have a ls1 out of a 98 vette and a computer and harness out of a 98 camaro, I bought a 700r4 and was going to use that but I figured it would be best to take advantage of the 8 bellhousing bolts and the electronic lockup/ shift, etc.

So I found a few 4l60e's and 4l65e's online. some of them are 2004 model, etc.

What years am I open to as far as plug and play? I am willing to swap a few sensors/solenoids, and the interal harness if I have to.

What about a 2004 4l60e for the newer 4.3 v6's are they the same?
