Saw this ad in Craigslist and it happens to be down the street from my parents. I always wondered what it's story was. In passing it looks really clean. But holy highway miles has me wondering as well as the "all new" enterior. Figure I would ask if anyone has seen this car in its former life? What do you all think of the price? It's at a subpar used car dealer to say the least.

There so many things that can be wrong with an older high mile C5. I would pass, unless you can beat them down on price. I would check the VIN and a carfax should show collisions, number of owners etc, that is a good place to start regardless of what your buying..

9500 is the most i'd pay for it... donno when that engine will die... all the older vettes i've looked at with over 130k had some knocking and needed alot of parts replacement

It's just going to depend on how well is was or wasn't taken care of. On one of the other forums I'm on, there is a C5 running a supercharger with 200k miles !

yeah... high, especially being a 98. Thats pre ls6 stuff. And I think thats the old perimeter bolt heads too. IMO If I had a motor laying around, and time to install, I would pay $4000 for the body. $4500 with the motor he has.
