Default What is this cable (Throttle body related)

I noticed the cable that attaches to the left side of the trottle body(not the throttle cable) broken.... Its the one that fits on the ball joint. Is this cruise control related and if so... as long as i dont use cruise will it affect anything. Camaro has been sitting for about 6 months and is undergoing a make over when defect was found. Thats why i dont know if it will affect the serviceability until the replacement takes place.

Thanks to all who respond
