how to install an air filter in your camaro

how to install an air filter in your camaro this is the instructions from k&n on how to install your new filter. this is for part # 33-2118, 1.remove the airbox lid by releasing the two hold down clips.
2.remove the stock air filter.
3.wipe any dirt out of the lid and base. the airbox lid must be clean and dry so that the gasket will stick to it.
4.apply the supplied self-sticking gasket around the edge of the airbox lid. there is a picture but if you dont know what there talking about just step away from your car and take it to a mechanic.
5.install the k&n air filter
6. re-install the airbox lid and clamp down the holding clips.
these instructions must be followed every time the filter is serviced, otherewise the filter may not seal, and damage to the engine could result!!!!!
now there we all go easy to read, just keep it clean and it works.

i guess you could say it was a joke, but having read so many people having problems with these filters sealing and such. i just thought i would help.

i think that would be kind of fun, but only if you get absolutely hammered and then try to change your air filter. i think the original post would serve a better purpose as changing your air filter completely hammered might actually be kind of difficult.

on another thread in the external engine section, someone said they have gotten leaves and such on there maf. so i think some people really dont know how to change or even modify certain parts or do regular maintenance on their cars. i have even read on here where someone had there starter out 7 times, and somehow the mounting point broke. they where quick to blame gm and there design on the block, not that they may have left the bolt loose a little or even the bolt may just loosened up enough that it broke. i guess this was written as a joke or even being sarcastic, but in all reality some people just shouldnt work on cars.
