Although I don't have a car yet I have managed to pick up a NX wet kit for cheap and I was wondering what a safe amount of nitrous would be to spray on a relitavely light modded ls1 ie exhaust/cold air.any feedback will be appreciated

With those mods, to be completly and totally safe---150hp wet shot. But that is max on your current fuel system, and with new NGK TR6 spark plugs.

Now go buy the car already!!

I know alot of people have sprayed 150 on stock motors, but I wouldnt go above the 100 jettings until I was on a dyno checking AF and monitoring fuel pressure. Also depends on how many miles the motor has on it. 150 in my eyes is a time bomb. 100 should last for quite a while as long as you are jetted correclty and have good fuel pressure...

From personal experience I'd run a 100 shot and still make sure you have everything checked and run good gas on the bottle. I ran a 150 shot and took out #5 & 6 and as far as internals go, all I had was a cam. The one down fall was I ran crappy gas. So please learn from my mistake.

Im stuck on crap 91 octane out here and run a 175 shot + LS6 heads and a G5X2... still runs rich... did you have a stock fuel pump? I think the 01+ cars have a better pump than the 00 previous... then again I ran a 200 shot on my 98 as well

Is that 175 on your NX or a different system (dumb question I know considering your signature on all your posts)

Well we are blaming it all on the gas. However it may have been something else. I had a inline 255 and it ran 10:5/1 on an A/F I broke #5 & 6 rods soooo only the gurus can say what happened.

the smartest thing is to start small and gradually work your way up.

I don't know about you all, but I have had nor am having problems running the 93 octane around Dallas with h/c/bottle (presently off but ran for a year no probs). I also have a buddy running h/c/150 NX maf ends kit, with intank fuel pump and so on and so forth with no problems. Who knows though.
