Stereo & Electronics - Bose ? display lighting

I have a 96 with the Bose CD and it works fine until you turn the parking/headlamps on. The stereo display goes blank??? Still works fine except if you want to see what station your on you have to shut the the headlamps off!!!!!! Any ideas?
