Default 77 Monza LQ4-LS3 carb

I'm just getting the parts for this build. Car is a rust free (really) street car. My wife's toy. Has run a best 11.24@119 with 1.42 60'. That was with gen 1 400 with GM Fast Burn heads. Car is #2850. Dyno'd 387 rwhp.
New engine is 6.0,dished piston with LS3 heads. GM carb intake. Turbo 350 and 9"Ford with 3.50 gear. Converter is a Neal Chance trick 8" nitrous ready that pulled the old engine down at idle it was so tight. Please understand I have many non-believers as to the converter size/stall and the way it performs. Car carries front wheels to 60'. I'll try to upload pics.
I'm thinking of copying the Car Craft build that made 550 flywheel hp. They used same combo and a Comp Cam 228/230,.571/.573 and 112 lobe displacement angle.
This will allow me to get it running this summer than I hope to build a serious shortblock this winter.
BTW this car has stock hood and has a 235 tire. Car looks stock and I hope to be able to fit the new engine under the hood. Of course I need to build the headers.
the car is on photobucket. look up stinkybutt monza.

Aleck,

I saw your car before at the H-body meet at Quaker City a few years ago. Nice looking car! If you put the engine in the stock location and make a set of headers that fit with the stock steering then I'll buy a set! Good luck with the build.

Default Of course you will

Hey Bill, I'm sure you will. I'm thinking of trying a set of LS/Mustang swap headers or 351 Windsor/Fox headers and change the flange. I'll probably end-up building a complete set as I'm fussy on fit/finish. Just the time thing.
