Default What does this sound like?

I noticed a louder than normal tapping noise from under the car. Its up by the header collectors area. I dont remember it being this loud before. Turn up your volume all the way and listen closely to the tapping noise. What does it sound like?

No I didnt change anything. I did long tubes and ory a couple months ago but the sound wasnt that loud. Im hoping that it was just a leak at the collector. I was under the car today and I re installed the bandclamps. I used high temp gasket maker around the joint and put a big bead inside the clamps. Im waiting 24 hours for it to cure and ill start it back up tomoro to see if it was just a leak at the header collectors. Hopefully its not engine realated.

Oil pressure is seems fine

Hard to tell from the clip, but you just said you did headers not that long ago... header gaskets leaking maybe?

That loud tapping or knocking noise isnt there like yesterday. Maybe it was just the leaky collector. Ima keep an eye on it.

Whatever it was it makes it sound like a train with the chuggin.

From your description, a leaky collector, or loose header bolt, maybe driving it caused a vibration that shifted the exhaust system and temporarily sealed it, it will pop up again if not tightened.
