Possible clogged cooler?
Okay so in january I popped my stock 117k 4l60e and limped home. Threw in my performabuild stage 2 with a 2800 tci stall and loved the difference. LOVED IT...One day Im driving all fine and the car shoots up high like about 3200ish and I hear a bang, and something clunking. Dont know what happened but I smell trans fluid and the car is either speeding down or barely moves.
So I swap it back for another unit with a replica build of CPT stage 2 with a stock converter and I hear the pump really loud. Car either drives fine, or doesn't move. I start smelling fluid and look under the car and fluid seems to be coming out from the vent tube. So I havent driven the car except for side to side during the week. Saturday Im going to be installing a Jegs trans cooler and by passing the stock one as I wont be driving the car during the winter.
Is it the cooler or a possible engine/computer issue? Anyone have some insight on what I should try would be great!
Car is a 1994 Z28 LT1 with a 2.73() rear if that matters

Undo return line from cooler, and see how much fluid is pumped out in 20-30 seconds... should be about 2 quarts.
If less, then there's a blockage and/or pump problem... and also, on the other end, some hard parts will have been fried from lack of lube.

Is this cooler large enough to be used to by-pass the OEM one? This is the one I have that I forgot I had lol.
