Default Lousy wiper motors/controller!

Yikes, I'm about to give up on this car.

The wiper motors are giving me a headache.

Replaced the wiper motor after it failed and then it failed again. Replaced it again and now after a few days, the wipers will not shut off. The car has only 68K miles.

I'm assuming this issue relates to a bad wiper motor control board which is mounted on the wiper motor.

Each time I have replaced the motor, I have also replaced the wiper control board.

I think I will save some time and effort this time and buy a NEW motor and NEW control board instead of a rebuilt unit.

Can these be purchased NEW directly from GM?

Lots of these GM cars have been recalled as a result of a flawed wiper control board but the 1999 Camaro is not one of them; right?

P.S. The electronics on these cars blow - I'm on my third set of window motors too.

GM = never again!

Could this be an electrical ground issue?

gm has a thing called dealer, inside there is a dept called parts. people work there that can order you brand new stuff for your car.

The car is 11 years old and not all the parts are being made by GM!
