Tranny knocking noise at idle...is this a problem? No problems with operation of the clutch or transmission. Just installed refreshed motor with 232/234/112 cam and also used poly motor mounts and when warmed up at idle I can hear a knocking noise. I have upped the idle speed and idle spark and seemed to lessen the knocking sound, but when hot at idle I can still hear it. Is this a problem or a result of the rough cam? Any experience with this? Thought I may go with Syncomesh to help....

The fluid thins out as it gets hotter. Thinner fluid provides a little less cushion between the gears as they mesh. You can try a different fluid, perhaps something a little thicker but I wouldn't mess with it unless its really bothering you.
