It will look like this until you either get a replacement grill insert or have the holes filled. I will be putting on the Wings West grill insert when I get back from this deployment.

Everybody has their own preferences when it comes to the grill and what to do with the front facia after it's removed.

personally I don't like any of the aftermarket grill inserts or the WingsWest insert. It looks too much like an INSERT! IMHO.

I had the holes filled and think it looks so much cleaner.. of course that's my preference..

I had my bodyshop guy do the work for me. They used a plastic filler on the holes and painted everything in for me. Cost was just under $300 bucks. Now consider the following:

* Price of the Insert you buy:
* Price to Paint it

Assuming you'll install it yourself.

Depending on what it will cost to paint it combined with the price of the insert you may find that it's cheaper to have the holes filled or about the same costs. IMHO the filled in holes look OEM and you retain the indented "CAMARO" across the front.

You can buy some Home Depot gutter guard and screen in the nostrils like the WingsWest insert for $2 bucks.

Best thing to do is check around with a few places just to see how much they'll charge you for the work. You may be surprised if it's even less than I mentioned above.

I think it looks clean, too! I am thinking about doing this mod also. I just have to sell my WW insert now. Anyone want it?

Is the gutter guard stuff you mentioned the same thing you used? It looks awesome, I just took my front grill off on my Black Z, it looks a lot better now with that 'faded black' grill off! I'm guessing I would still be able to use the reflective lettering if I ever decide to do that?

Wow.. Small world Jimmy.. Indeed!.

I'm familar with the NS. Used to live over there a couple years ago.. I'm not that far from it now.. I live in the Arlington Area.. Just on the other side of the Dames Point..

The Gutter guard is exactly what I used and I bought it at Home Depot. It's just a couple bucks. They sell it in a roll.. Can't miss it!

And you can definitely use the letter inserts. The same size that would typically fit the plastic grill will work on the indented letters underneath..

Are you sure all the "aftermarket" grilles look bad?......SLP's, with "Screen MOD"......you tell me?.....

And don't do the Home depot gutter gaurd stuff, it's cheap because it's cheap......use the stainless steel stuff from McMaster-Carr, just do a search on Google and you'll get the web page....heavy, solid steel, very nice stuff and it was like $10 a 12X12 sheet of it.....

Jimmy,

Yeah bro.. Anytime is cool with me. Shoot me an email and we can arrange to meet up.

Blue,

Nice car you have no doubt. I certainly don't speak for everyone when I said I didn't care for the Inserts. The Screen mod definitely sets the front of your car apart from the others with the same insert. Personally I've never been a big fan of the Grill's anyway.. The !Grill delete gives the front of our cars some needed depth IMHO. The WingsWest Insert is heading in the right direction with the body colored Insert and the screen but it still looks like a Snap On which is what I wanted to escape.
