Default LQ4 or LS1 oil pickup tube?

I'm putting a F-body or corvette oil pan on my LQ4.

Should the oil pickup tube be from the type of pan, or should it rather match my block?

run the pickup that matches the pan. all the blocks are the same in the oil pump department, if you try to run an LQ4 pickup with the batwing pan, you will have problems because of the deeper sump on the pan. i doubt you will even get the batwing pan on with the LQ4 pickup.

Also, the O-ring from the pickup tube to the oil pump is different from a car pickup to a truck, make sure you get the right one.
