Drag Racing Tech - Oil temp gauge

Has anyone put an electric oil temp gauge in?
I was just wondering where it contacts the oil at.
By the filter maybe?

By the oil filter is exactly where he put it....I believe he states that the C5's reads the oil temp there from the factory.
