New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - Darn headlights!

They keep going out I can't tell u guys how many headlights I've put on my car it seems like the passenger one always goes out I'm sick of replacing my bulbs.......... Would going to a hid setup help this matter cause I'm sick of replacing these things and them keep going out? I found a hid kit for my TA for 40 bucks on eBay what's the deal?? Seems like every 4 months I need new ones

Headlights should last for many years. Sounds like you have a bigger issue here, power surges, wiring problem, water getting where it shouldn't, etc. I would look to correct that issue before bothering with an aftermarket setup.

When you take the bulbs out does it seem that it is getting water in there?? I would check that out before you buy something else. Lights should last for a couple years at the very least.

Blah! Electrical issues are the worst! They are like back pain, almost impossible to prove and/or fine the underlying issue to. Good luck man!

I've had the same problem and I noticed that the right headlight was vibrating a bit when i saw the reflection off signs driving at night. I simply added a little "padding" onto the headlight retainer and it's been doing alot better for me. I feel all that vibration was causing the filament to stress and burn out quicker.

I was looking at the connector bud of the headlight and I notice corosion around the little meatal nips of the headlight. Should I replace it and see wat happens?
