Default Any ATV nuts here???

Been looking into getting a ATV to do a little mud play with, been looking at a few for the purpose, and the ones I am looking at are
Honda Rincon
Honda Forman Rubicon(actually waiting for the 11's to be released to see if they have an IRS rear as rumored)
Kawi Brute Force 750
Can Am Outlander 650

been leaning towards the Rincon for the fact that I can get one at a great price and not have to worry about voiding any warrenty (good friend of my dads owns a Honda Dealer in the Dallas area) but don't like the 3speed trans it has..

well my main question is, does anyone know if the Rincon has an issue with the axles pulling out when lifting it like the grizzlys??? any input on the others would be appriceated as well....

and before it comes out, I'm not a fan of Polaris no matter what anyone says....Polaris is not for me is all..

definately feel the same way about polaris. its the ford of atvs, i had a 2004 sportsman 700 4x4 for about 6 months before i had enough of it. didnt matter how easy or hard i rode it ,somethingc would always go wrong, for me it was cv joints, shifter constantly getting stuck in reverse and constantly popping throttle cables. . as for a honda thats all i would buy if i were shopping for a utility atv. as for axle issues ive never heard of any with the hondas

been riding atvs since ive been 8...
depends what riding u want man
the brute has great power and the after market accessories u can put on it
can make it a great mud boger

CAN AM is great for alot of water use since most of all of it is water proof.
but many things have to get fixed by the dealer
and my local dealer will take months just to fix a gear in the transmission box

honda.... there really good ive had 2 and honestly cant say there bad
only thing ive broken on those have been the CVT belt system (i think thats how u call them)

considering your choices i say your looking for off road and stuff
not interested in 450 racing atvs? trust me those solid rear axle 450's are so much fun and love getting alot of air on the dunes!

heres a few pics....

dont have any pics of my old 450 kfx....(sport quad)
but i would recommend you the nice brute that v twin is very strong and
sounds great with a programer and a full exhaust
and if you go power nuts there few companies that over big bore cylinder walls and stuff..

I have been given the dirt bug once again..I leaning towards getting a dirt bike like a KTM 300 EXC 2-stroke, or perhaps a quad, but it would have to be a Raptor or old Banshee...

the ktm 300 is a monster
great low end power
can be in any gear and that sucker will pull hard
same goes to the ktm 525 i raced one in my buddies full bolt on raptor (no head work) and the ktm killed it by 5th gear
ktm makes great engines and great machines! expensive tho!

and for raptors... for thier cubes they have 450's with bolt ons can keep up with them my old kfx 450 would keep up with a raptor
there really heavy tho
hate the new hondas 700's with the irs'
they suck in the sand ( where i do most of my riding)
so i stick to the good old solid axle!

Had a few Banshees and a 400EX when they first came out, now I have a Honda Rancher 420 ES Solid Rear Axle..no complaints about it at all. With a gear reduction kit it'll spin 30-31" tires. I have 15" wheels and 29x10.50s on mine, all stock with no lift.

****, Yamaha is the same, i have near zero issues with my big bear. I bought the biggest utility ATV from Yamaha i could that was still a manual trans. I like selecting my gears and not worrying about belts and what not. The big bear is the toughest ATV i have ever seen. The just keep on trucking and i got the first year of the IRS which is pretty nice not to mention, i have guys that swear that the Yamaha axles are the strongest.

The belt issue wouldn't exsist of i go with the rincon since it has a gear driven trans, but I know all my friends with yamahas have issues with the axles pullin out and snapping cv joints when you lift them more than 1"
