Default torsen ???????????

i bought a rear end from a 2000 v6 firebird my ? is it has a torsen carrier inside does that mean its posi or still just a open diff?

it is a 'posi',came with 99+ Z28,SS,TA,Forms.

At what point did he say any of those??? He said V6. I wasnt aware any V6 got a posi.

My main answer was that yes,a torsen is a 'posi' and that it's the one that came with models I mentioned.
Now to increase your 'awareness',2000 V6 Camaros with Y87 Performance Handling Package came with Torsen Limited Slip Differential,fast ratio power steering,large diameter front sway bar,and dual exhaust

i put a pic in my profile section i cant get it up as a link for some reson anyways my torsen unit looks just like it except my is a 4 channel with no relucter wheel on it

If it's stock it can't be a 3.08. The V6 cars that has posi were either M5's with 3.23 gears or A4's with 3.42 gears. 3.08 were on open rear A4's only, unless the posi unit was added later.

maybe gm made a mistake the car it was in was a 2000 v6 5 speed car with no obvious modifacations whatsoever but when we pulled the rear it did have numbers writen on it 700100 whatever that means its writen on it multiple times
