I have read on here where people suggest changing shims by .002-.003. My question is where do you guys get shims that thin? The thinest shims I got with my rebuild kit where .011. This would be for the carrier or pinion.

A shop had mine, but you could always grind them down.

'changing shims by .002-.003'
as in the case for the pinion,changing from a .030 to a .033 or .027.,not an actual .002-.003 shim.
