Unhappy TH 400 Intermediate clutch piston seal

Took the intermediate clutch piston seals out as one would during rebuild and removed them without noting which way the lip faces.
Can anyone help with this?
Thanks!

hard to explain wiht ot a picture but i will try. basically as a rule seals will go toward wherever the presure comes form. so if you look at the piston and the presure pushes it in direction A then the seal will face direction B, otherwise the seal wont....er seal. i hope that makes sense. maybe i can draw a pictur in paint.

Thanks for the info but I'm not sure which way the pressure comes from...
I'm picturing the piston as I would see it looking into the pump end of the trans case (with springs facing me).
Seal lips toward front of transmision or towards output shaft?
Thanks
