Default Overheating issues, leak from waterpump area.

5.3L rx7 I recently purchased has been having some overheating issues. Car has a stock LT1 radiator with a 14" pusher fan. I decided to change the coolant and check the thermostat. Upon inspection found there was no thermostat, installed on and did a flush. The car will run about 210-215f on the highway cruising, and get to 230-235f in traffic.

This morning I come out to the garage to find coolant leaking all over the place. I would assume there is a gasket behind the water pump? If so I will just replace it. I've also been looking at a cheap fix to my radiator issue, and have found this one:

I believe this to be the best option after an hour of scouring eBay. The LT1 radiator give the hose off the waterpump a sharp bend, almost pinching the hose closed.

Thoughts?
