Default Anyone own a G8 GXP?

Mom's is looking for a new commuter and she fell in love with them, but only wants a gxp. But there's no place anywhere in the state that has them, so my question is does anyone own one and would like to let her test drive it? We could set up some sort of collateral with one of our cars if needed.

Yup, Buying one isn't the problem. Finding one to sample in this state is.

I have a blue automatic GXP in the Pasadena area.

I can't imagine why she would want to drive one if she isn't able to find one to buy.

Try ...

www.hankshelper.com

Plug in your zip code and you can search in a radius from it on all the major internet based car sites like autotrader, cars.com, carsdirect.com, ebay, craigslist, etc.

Made finding my CTS-V easy.

Looks like there is one in Bonham and one in Weatherford, OK

like i said buying one isn't the problem, they're going to miami to pick one up hopefully in about 2 weeks. She just wants to test drive one is all. They're just so damn hard to come by around here.

i beleive a wheel & tire package along with a few other appointments. but the biggest thing about it that i can remember is that you get a M6 transmission option with it.

GXP is a LS3.
GXP has a manual option
GXP has a different front fascia and rear diffuser

GT has a L76 (LS2 short block with LS3 intake and L92 heads)
No manual option
GT has AFM

Thanks for that sir, haha me and my dad were up all night looking at them.

I've been trying to convince her to get a CTS-V, but 55K is a little to steep for them right now.

If you don't mind do you think we could possibly come take a look at it? Or maybe setup some sort of test drive for her, she's willing to put her mach 1 as collateral for it.

GXP has Brembo front brakes, 3.7x rear gear ratio (at least in the M6), standard 19" wheels (like the ones the CTSV has), different mufflers. There may be some minor suspension differences too.

OP, you may have better luck finding a GT to test. The performance difference isn't extreme. If it HAS to be a GXP test drive, then check out grrrr8.net. They have G8 meets down in Houston.

I was just talking about the stuff that makes a big difference. Wheels are obvious as are the brakes. If you want to nit pick, the GXP has different struts and comes std. with a leather wrapped steering wheel and shifter and stainless pedals. I believe the sunroof is still an option, but I haven't seen a GXP without a sunroof. Also there are a few bushings that are different (solid versus relief cut) as well as a couple made out of different material that aren't upgraded when you do bushing kits from Pedders or BMR.
