Default Van vs. Truck engines

I found a 4.8 and auto in a '07 Express van with 40k miles. Would I be correct to assume that the vans and trucks are identical?
I can get everything I want from the van for $1500.

The block/intake and exhaust manifolds are the same, however, there are subtle differences. dipstick tubes, hose routings, some vans come with hydroboost (P/S pump is different), oil fill tube, P/S filler tube, etc
