need help.. maybe i screwed the engine?
so my buddys 350 vette didnt run for a while so i went ahead and diagnosed it down to a fuel pump, replaced the pump and it fired right up, so he goes ripping around the property (it has 112k miles) and all of a sudden after a bunch of WOT it stumbles to its death.... we went to start it again and it kinda makes a "bloop bloop bloop" noise and flames shoot out of the exhaust.. it will not start... im thinking it jumped a link on the timing chain... you guys?

Put a socket on the balancer bolt and rock it back and forth until you see the rotor start to turn. If it's more than just a very few degrees, I'd say you did because the only way it should jump is with really sloppy chain.

lol FYI,...im sure you know this but... just because it is "shooting fuel" doesn't mean it is pressurising. if you don't have compression then look no further find out why there is no compression ,hopefully there's no bent valves. good luck

also to the guy about the fuel, its crossfire injection, you can literally take a can of gas and pour it on the throttle body blades and it will atomize it lol.... its BULLSHIT but its getting enough fuel to run.
