Default Pacesetter long tubes collector question

I know Pacesetter collectors are supposed to be a 3" collector. Is that ID or OD? If it is the ID what does that make the OD to be?

Just wondering because I need to order an exhaust connector which I think would be a 3"ID/3"OD connector to run off header collectors, or am I wrong.

Exhaust piping is measured by its inside dimension. Why not just order the pacesetter off road y-pipe to go with the long tubes? It will bolt right up to the collectors, and you'll just need a 3" catback.

Because I already have my setup in mind and do have a Y but not going with that right away at least.
