^^^ i agree. but for a 04 with around 100k miles on them they are around 23k aus. which is under 20 US. and i really want a AWD v8 with a LS. lol. so lets say money isnt a concern.

i am more worried making it emissions leagal.

plus the right hand drive thing would be a cool car show feature.

It is emissions legal.

It has not been crash tested and thats why its illegal. You would have to buy 4 of them, send 3 to get crashed and after a few years of out of pocket expenses like paying for said tests you will have to spend another small fortune to register and title it.

If this car is worth more to you then a Zr1 and you are willing to wait a few years then good luck!

That would be a VERY interesting mod. Would it be more practical to get a whole coupe4, then just swap the awd parts onto your GTO and part out the rest of the coupe4? Does HSV have a thread for his conversion?

It would take a lot of work to find all the numbers.

You would probably have to pay 40-50k AU for a coupe 4, they were a very limited addition car.

You may be able to adapt/fit an all wheel drive cross 8 ute or Adventurure wagon running gear into a GTO (probably available from wreckers in Aust)

yeh they were a limited thing and not sure how many sold but they were a 90k+ car when new and you can get part numbers from holden/hsv parts but you will need a coupe4 vin as holden/hsv don't like to give these out to anyone when it comes to hsv parts unless you have a vin for that particular hsv.

NO.

The previous range of Holdens & HSV's (VT to VZ) had Coupe4, Adventra, & Cross8 4WD options. All that ended in 2005.

The new VE/G8 platform which started in 2006 has no 4WD option.

A buddy of mine is builting a awd gto. What he did is he's getting the awd drivetrain sent here and matching it up to an ls9. He thinks it'll take him a few months. He went to ebaymotors australia and bought the awd drivetrain from there. Hope this helps.

Yes on GTO.


There is nothing 4WD available for the Holden VE or Pontiac G8 platform.
