You need a big torx bit for the seat belts(forgot the actual size.. I think its a 47 or 50), and the rest is held on by 4 bolts, 2 on the bench, and 1 on each bucket part.

13mm socket and ratchet, T45 torx bit for the belts on the floor

Don't remember what size the bracket is on the back of the seat

Simple removal. Took me just a few mins when I did mine.

Perhaps mine is different, but it looked kinda hard to access the torx bit on the bottom/sides of the back-resting seat. There's no room for my ratchet/torx bit

Did you take out the seat bottoms? That made it very simple and straightforward.

No I didn't. The back rest appears to be attached at two, lower points, and the lower buckets aren't in the way.

I'll take another look at it.

Fold the seat down and you'll be able to get to the smaller ones on the back of the seat

Take out the bottoms first with the 13mm socket. Then there is also a 13mm nut on each side at the bottom that holds the fold down part on. You cant get to these two nuts until you remove the buckets. Remove those two nuts with the socket or you might need to use a wrench. And the top comes right off.

When I did it, I also replaced the carpet. I didn't like the holes it left so I went with some nice lightweight carpet. I also used a unibit to drill out all the brackets, and then plugged the holes with silicone. Shed lots of weight and looks good.

It was pretty easy, I was looking at the wrong part to remove.

How hard are the seatbelts to remove behind the panels?

The trim pieces in the hatch need to come out and it's a 15mm(I think) nut holding them in

Where did you get the carpet and how was your experience with it?
