Default 8100 Avalanche engine in 78 Suburban

Is there someone who knows what I need for a complete engine swap for my '78 Sub. I want to replace the 7400 for a 2002 Avanalanche 8100 engine.

I saw I needen the ECU, gaspedal, wiring harness complete engine.
Do I also need the ignition key and so on?

I hope someone knows over here!

Thanks,

John, Holland

It would be easier to obtain a complete setup, Engine, and all accessories from it. Or you could get a custom harness done eliminating some of the things you won't need on your 78.

Wiring those BBCs is nearly identical to LS1s. They use a crank and cam sensor comparable to the LSx along with the LSx individual coil packs

And you can also swap the dbw tb for a f-body cable tb and not have to worry about the pedal setup. Also, depending on how close you are to Chgo, I have a complete engine minus harness and pcm with 60,000 miles foe sell.

So I don't need the key and lock because of a start block mechanism?

No, just be sure to have the vats deleted from the pcm you will be using.

Ok, how can I arrange this? There are no dealers around here. Is it possible to send the computer to a dealer or something?

I am really glad you all answer to my questions!
