Default new axle shaft comes with bearings?

This is probably a newb question but I am not sure since I have never done this before. My rear wheel is making a howling noise at higher speeds. I was told this is due to a bad axle bearing, and if that is bad the axle is likely bad too. To not take any chances I was just going to buy new stock GM 4 channel axles. But my question is will the new axles come with new bearings already on it? Would buying new axles make this a simple R&R job? Do I need to buy anything else or will the new axle come with everything I need?

the GM parts manual shows it comes with 4 channel reluctor ring, but NO wheel studs.
axle bearings and seal are seperate as the are in the housing and not mounted on the axle.

The bearings are about $15 each at Autozone / Pepboys. You can install them yourself (they don't need to be pressed into the housing).
