Default Spec 3+ / fidenza FW = vibration at 1st gear

Hi

I installed spec 3+ / fidenza FW and there is some vibration on 1st gear is it normal or bad installing ?

The rest gears shift very smooth

I'm only doing 20 miles on it until now

Is it when you're taking off from a stop or just anytime you're in 1st gear with the clutch out?

Sounds like its just clutch chatter. I would say that's pretty common on break-in of a new clutch. The 3+ is a full face so I wouldn't think it would chatter but then again my twin disc is also full face and it chattered a little bit for the first 30 or so miles. I would think that if it is chatter that it will go away completely as you get some more break-in miles done.

A little chatter is common when leaving from a stopped position in first or reverse with little mileage on the clutch. Complete the break-in process and it should smooth out. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Thanks!

Having a light flywheel doesn't help the situation either. In time it will get better, and you'll get used to driving it again. It just takes time and miles.
