02 C5 manual - No 2nd gear @ high rpms?

02 C5 manual - No 2nd gear @ high rpms? Hey everyone,
Well I have all the new power in my 02 C5 and went to the dragstrip this weekend and to make along story short the car will not let me shift into 2nd gear at high rpms.... no matter what i do it will grind and not let it click in but the rest of the gears are fine. The weird part is it will shift fine at low rpms or like driving around town it goes right into 2nd.
Any suggestions? (Its all stock 6 speed trans)
