Default 04 GTO Diet

Need ideas on some "optional equipment" included on the 04 GTO. My buddy is looking to put his on a diet and just curios to know if their are any GTO specific items that we'd be able to remove that wouldn't affect drive ability or appearance drastically....let me know what some of the common things are and maybe even some of the more extreme.

I'm going to start with that stuff this week. That delete is pretty cool....probably going to talk him into that. Just curious to see if their are any unneeded items that GTO owners have found to take some weight out....trying to think outside the box here as well.....we're also looking at getting a glass hood for the car....

We have a manual brake conversion that saves quite a bit of weight.

My dad just pulled some weight from his '06 the other day since he was going to the track. The passenger seat pulled right out and weighed a whopping 61lbs. Only downside is when you disconnect the airbag sensor attached to the seat you lose the airbag function. Underneath the engine is a skidplate that weighs a good 25lbs. or so, so getting that off the nose would be beneficial. The back seat weighs about 30lbs. or so and in the trunk you can yank the spare, jack etc. and IIRC that weighs 50lbs-ish. Also, there is a factory strut tower brace on the car that you could yank, doesn't weigh much but it's not a necessary piece to have on there. We didn't pull the front swaybar but that's another few pounds that you could shed off the nose. Besides that we couldn't find anything easy to yank out but that's just a couple simple things you guys could do to get started.

For reference, with the above weight reduction the car weighed 3600# without driver and including his heavy wheel/tire combo.
