Default TH400 T56 conversion car, already have the vss

I just did a TH400 swap on my 02 WS6.

Now my Q is which plug from the T56 do I cut, and where can I get the plug to splice into those wires?

Thx for any suggestions.

green and purple wires.

From that other link I can see the connector is black in color, w/a blue rubber grommet.

This no speedo stuff is going to get old fast. Now I just need to find the plug for the VSS that's installed in the TH400...

Looks like one I remember from my days of working on late 80's early 90's GM trucks.

Thanks for any additional info! BTW man, I bet a 29xxlb fbody is NASTY @ the track. You have a write up anywhere on all the weight reductions you did?

I'm still searching for the correct plug for the VSS that came installed in my TH400.

If you don't have the VSS, search around a bit. There is a way to hook it to the front ABS sensor.

I found the GM PN for the VSS plug is 12085498, which is also the same plug used in the stock fog lights. Seeing as a have an intercooler up there now and no fogs, I cut the connector off the fog light and sure enough it plugged in no problem.

However, after splicing it into the VSS (purple and green) wires I'm still getting no speed being displayed on the dash.

Yep, just updated the PCM for 40 pulses, still nothing. Pulling the VSS plug out of the trans and going to visually check for the reluctor ring...

Pulled out the vss, pn 24232618. but it doesnt seem to be "stock"... in that its been filed down on 3 of the 4 vanes on the sensor. Dunno what that's all about. there is a reluctor ring inside however so... I found the VSS itself wasn't able to seat fully without a little filing... But once I filed it down and it seated fully, I've got a speedo.

Now I just need to correct for the 28" tires!
