On the production number they say there was no 1LE cars in 1998 but I have read on here they did make them. My question is how many did they make and how can i tell if mine is a 1LE?

True 1LE cars from 1989 to 2000 will actually have 1LE in their RPO code sticker which depending on the year is in the glove box or door jamb. 01-02 1LE parts were added to SS and Firehawks by SLP.

And if you do not have the sticker, just take the VIN to the dealer. More than likely, you've got a 1SC.

"Lots" of 1LEs built in '98. More Camaros than Formulas though. Check the links in my sig for the numbers. Check your driver's door decal for the 1LE RPO or punch your VIN in here.

All the '98 and '99 1LE Formulas had the W53 "Option C" radio (whatever that is).

'93s all had UM6.
'95s had UN6.
'96s had W51.
'97s had W52.

In any case, all 1LEs for a given year had the same radio, didn't appear they had any options.

^yea, I was aware of that. A 1le is basically a "stripped down" V8 car, lighter than ones with leather seats/ttops/10 speaker stereos/ect.

only 100lbs lighter the 1le was. a car dealer had one when i was looking for one and it had no radio, a/c, everything manuel for $28k 3 years ago.
