asr switch wont work

i have an 02 z28 my asr switch wouldnt work so i switched it out with my buddies he showed me on his car that it worked, i put it on mine and it wont work wat could be wrong

anything could be wrong.
first off... does your dash say that asr is off?
did you check the ground wire that connects between the battery and the shock mount?
