Default buddy's 2000Z weird oil pressure problem

the 'oil change' light comes on, and his oil PSI sits at almost 20 at idle...
oil change light goes off, pressure stays the same...
added a bit of oil, no change in pressure...

any ideas? sending unit?

The change light has nothing to do with pressure, and 20 pounds at idle is fine. Assuming that oil isn't dangerously low, adding some won't do anything for pressure either.

go get a oil change.. mine did that.. pressure was going down to 20-30 psi and it has never went below 40 ever.. i was getting so mad and couldn't figure it out then i just got a whole new oil change new filter and everything, castrol gtx European formula 0-30 with a k&n filter and its perfect again.. psi never goes below 40, driving 60 and WOT 75

edit: when mine had low pressure i also added more oil hoping it would fix it.. didn't work.
