Default Shifter Changes

Has anyone put a ratchet shifter in the stock console? What kind of mods did you make to the console and what kind of shifter? Changing tranny's and would like to put one in and still look good.

Thanks

I've got a B&M Proratchet in mine, you'll have to change the front part of the console to an M6 console but it fits perfectly and looks great.

I have a B&M Pro ratchet shifter. I got bored and spent some time with my dremel to see what it would look like. I have an LS1 auto console and it actually fit. Had to move the shifter a little though. I still think I like the no console look better and it saves a little weight too. to make it look really good I was thinking of using some black abs plastic to fill all the empy spaces but i would still probably pull the console for the track.

Sorry about the bad pic.. my camera sucks. This was when everything was half apart, notice the missing dash and wires everywhere.

Elite Hot Rod can you get a picture of how yours looks or was put in with the M6 console? I ave the M6 and will be putting in an auto within a few weeks so this is a big deal for me. I want it to look as stockas possible.

has anyone put a B&M Hammer shifter in the stock console, or 6-speed? Looks like you could cut out the shifter hole and gear indicator and make the Hammer console fit in the hole. Any help would be appreciated.

I know I saw some pics of an auto shifter under an M6 console recently but I'm having a hard time finding it now.

I will be buying a shifter Monday as my tranny will be in by the middle of the week probably. Any and all info on shfters will be greatly appreciated. I do want it to have the button I can wire my line lock into though and I want to keep he 6 speed console.

Yeah i'm changing to a 200 4r and putting in the hammer shifter with it. I'm gonna see what I can do with the A4 console. If i don't like it i'll switch it with the 6-speed console. Let me know how yours turns out. I just want it to look good.

I have the b&m ratchet shifter in the stock a4 console. I had to move the shifter a little from where the original was but with the boot on it it almost looks stock! I removed the piece with the P R N D 3 2 1 thing! Looks great! If it didn't have a big chrome b&m handle you wouldn't know the difference! E-mail me if you want a pic!

I found this since I knew it was out there. I will do what it takes to make mine look like this. This looks as nice as I have seen.

I like that one as well I just thougt the pro ratchet might have been a little too tall looking at the two side by side yesterday but I guess not huh. Nice Pic.
