Default please help!!!!

i know this might be the wrong place to post but i wasnt sure where to post... when i drive with all the air off in my car i can feel hot air coming in under my dash right by the pedals... is this normal or is there something i can do to fix it and whats causing it?

Not too sure about this but it sounds like you may have a vacuum leak behind the dash that is keeping your blend door open. I know that if I have the car on but not running with the AC on, the blend door doesn't have enough vacuum to move the air up to the vents.

any idea on how to fix this? or am i going to have to rip out the whole entire dash to get to it... ugh i hope not.... i have a extended warranty.... do u think they would cover something like this?

Is it on the right side right beside your leg? or more toward your feet. Mine comes from the center of the car near behind the CD player and bugs me

i think its a lil of both all i know is its hot down there!!!! but i think its def a lot more from the center like yours.... is it maybe heat coming in off the trans?

This isn't unusual. Over time, the seals on the blend doors in the heater box go bad and you get leakage past them. Usually, these seals are some sort of foam. I don't know if they are replaceable or not, as most that I've seen are glued on.

i guess on a nice stretch of off days im gonna have to take the pannels apart and see if i can see anything in there which i can fix somewhat..... thanx for all the info guys

+1 on this. I have a 98 camaro and this is quite common for me, especially on long drives, wouldn't worry about it too much.

+2 for me i had a 96 V6 camaro that did this when i bought it with 64,xxx miles and did it till i sold it with 131,xxx miles on it. also just bought a 00 z28 with 47,xxx miles on it and it does it a little too
