Default ls1 mustang notch first pass

Here are the mods

1989 notch 3100lbs with me in the car
un open 98 ls1 with 140,000 miles
long tube headers
th400 trans w 4000 stall
3.55 gears
stock ls1 intake
drag tires

it was 84% hum tonight and i ran the car with a full tank of gas. I also ran the car tonight with no o2 sensors at all, locked out so i'am not sure if that was part of the problem

heres what it ran

60- 1.73
330- 5.00
1/8- 7.72@90 mph
1000- 10.08
1/4- 12.08 @114 mph

it was a little hot so i think i might be able to pick up a few there but does this seem right. I think it should 60ft better but not sure if its real rich from the o2's locked out maybe

you think a ls6 intake would help that much ?

U need to get your 60ft time down and less gas and cooler temps and u should runs mid 11's and yes a LS-6 intake will make a difference.

LS6 is worth an easy tenth and a mph for a bone stock car, total no brainer.

not sure how long, it was on and off alot for about a year or two. But if i had the money and bought all the parts i could have built the car in a month or so. Its a real easy build

Nice car. LS6 intake should make 10-15 hp.

Nice to see other conversions.

That 90 degree elbow is not helping at all, similar issue with the GTO's. If you can some how straighten that out it will help as well as a underdrive and ls6 intake. Also get the thing tuned with a wideband. Running no o2 sensors should throw a code and maybe put it into limp mode.

I sure hope you act like an LS1 guy and not a stang *** bag! I have always been a ford guy but since meeting mustang owners at the track and on the street I really don't like anything stang.

thanks guys

the car was tuned with this same setup other then it had a zo6 cam then and now has the stock 98 cam. The o2 sensors were bad so he just locked em out. I also found my cheap old cone filter was rusted up and packed dirty so i bought a big new K&N filter

I didnt really think about a under drive pulley on here, do they help much.

I dont act crazy like some of those guys man i like all cars if they look good or go fast.
