Default SLP Loudmouth vs Magnaflow catback.. opinions?

Hello everybody, my camaro currently has H/C/I, longtubes, and ORY. I have a Magnaflow catback and i feel that its too quiet. I was wondering how much louder an SLP loudmouth catback WITH BORLA XR1 OR MAGNAFLOW BULLET in place of the SLP 1 or 2 resonators would be compared to my magnaflow catback? Opinions will be appreciated, thanks.

Default Loudmouth

I have the long tube headers , Loudmouth with the SLP resonator .
I realize the ricers are obnouxiously loud so figured , what the hell .
I have never been pulled over for loud exhaust , even in CA.
I do enjoy when someone pulls up next to me and revs the engine , I can hit one rev and set the alarms off in the adjacent parking lots .
Check out the sound clips on this site .

+1 (We are two of the few haha ) I'm freakin loving my LM1, LT Headers, and ORY. Its hell a loud but its not over bearing at all!! I especially love that little bite it has to it at certain times!

Also I'm in mississippi and yes we have some noise ordinance city's here but I can cruise around with my set up and I can barely hear it as if it was on stock manifolds(I'm an A4 guy).

I know what a LT, ORY, SLP LM car sounds like.. i want to know how they sound like with a H/C/I with the Borla XR1 or Magnaflow bullet. H/C/I makes your car A LOT louder. My friend had a cammed, long tube, ORY, SLP LM1 camaro and it was unbearably loud. So i am wondering how much quieter did the car get to those who have installed the Borla XR1 or Magnaflow muffler in place of the SLP LM1 or LM2 resonators... and how that would compare to my Magnaflow cat back

OOOH sorry about that I guess I didn't read it all the way.. I have heard that the borla XR-1 is slightly quieter than the LM2 and Magnaflow Bullet is quieter than the Borla XR-1 Bullet(No personal experiences). Maybe someone will come and clarify this but either way those two are going to be quieter than both LM's. As far as how it compares to your magnaflow exhaust, I just know they are both going to be alot louder than your magnaflow but by how much? I have no idea.. ha.. sorry if im no help. Just my .02 cents.

There is a reason the call them SLP Loudmouths . But to answer your question it will be a little louder than your set up right now. But I don't think it will change a whole lot from what you have now. Most of the guys I know with slp don't use the mufflers or the resonators. Now that is some insane loudness!

I believe it also depends on your setup like what lt's or ory because I have lt's and ory and magnaflow catback and it sounds louder than some of the videos I seen on you tube of ls1's with lt's and lm1 or lm2

I personally do not think that the SLP loudmouth system should be called a muffler or anything other than an amplifier to your car. My friend had the LM1 on his camaro with stock manifolds and I swear it was louder than my 3" true duals with no cats and long tubes.

And personally I think they sound like crap.. has a kinda cool tone when you're like inching forward in traffic or in the staging lane or whatever. WOT sounds like crap though... just not a muscle car tone

Magnaflow sounds better IMO... If you must change it, do it right. Xpipe into 1 chambers.

i really like the set up i have. Long tubes, ORY, Dual cutouts right at the bends in the ORY, magnaflow catback with a bullet magnaflow stainless muffler in the I-Pipe.

enough sound control and great sound when cruisin and crazy loud when you want it

Thanks for your opinion guys, but i am looking for people who have the SLP LOUDMOUTH that have replaced the LM1 or LM2 muffler/resonator with a Borla XR1 muffler (then known as the 'borlamouth') or Magnaflow bullet muffler (then known as the 'magnamouth'). NOT people with the Borla cat back or Magnaflow catback (which i already have).

Regardless, Xpipe with 1 chambers will sound better than any of the setups being discussed.

Had the LM, then kept the resonator and added a Magnaflow muffler to the rear...

personally, if I were you, I'd just add some cut-outs if it's not loud enough for you right now. That way you have the best of both worlds...

I have LMII with pacesetter LTs and OR-Y. I love the way the car sounds.
