Pricing is an important factor but so is knowledgeable in the depth of a product. Since my initiation of production for F-bodies over 2 years ago, we can provide a very good background of knowlege. Since we work with all prototype designs, set up all F-body rim programs and continually work with designs, we can help you with all your questions or concerns. I will personally see to it that I back all my customers up fully. That is in addition to the fact our prices won't be beat :-)

I set the standard packages for F-bodies. Unless you have a custom axle assembly or a special request, we have set the specs that are needed for a plug and play setup. Standard setups utilize a 15x4 and 15x9.75(10) wheel with appropriate BS which tucks the wheel in nicely.

Regading the comment to Bogarts being pricey, they can be, depending on which type of rim that your comparing it to. If you compare Bogart’s to a weld aluma star (which is a better comparison), then our prices look pretty good. If you compare Bogarts to a weld prostar, draglite, convo etc...then your comparing apples to oranges, of course ours will look more expensive but you get what you pay for. One should not compare an economy line of rims to a custom-built high-end line of rims. In my opinion, all the advantages of our line literally outweigh any additional costs over competitor’s rims. Not to mention, they fit fantastic and look like a show quality rim.

Weight differences should never be overlooked...anytime you can remove unsprung or rotational weight DO IT. Putting on a set of weld prostars is like adding ~75 lbs MORE to your car over a similar Bogart P1 set. Installing convo's are even more.

Convo pros are WAY too heavy.

My 15x4 convo pros with tires are 22.5#,My 15x8.5 convos with slicks are 32.5#

I think what Steve means is that rotating mass is usually multiplied by 8 to found out what it would be as regualr weight. So therefore it would turn out to be 75 pounds. I think all that info can be found on either weld or centerline's website.

Now, to throw another wrench into it, you really need to compare WHERE the weight is. If two wheels are the same static weight, and one has more mass near / at the center of rotation, THAT is the "better" wheel for racing...not saying for strength.

While I run Bogarts, the good old Weld ProStars and others are a good bang-for-the-buck with much of its mass centered. I'd spend money elsewhere before going to Bogarts, but if you do want a NICE wheel and you have the money to go that way, then you won't be disappointed.

01-Z, chill out pal. What Steve means is that the weight difference between the Bogarts and the Convo's is the equivalent to 75 lbs of dead weight from your car. You can't even compare a Convo to a Bogart. That's like comparing a Chevy Chevette to a Chevy Corvette.

Ouch, I think the Chevette / Corvette is a little harsh. Can't we say Camaro vs Corvette instead? Both are nice wheels.

I got my Bogarts because I wanted a set of wheels that not a lot of guys around here have. Welds are like belly button's, everybody's got 'em. But, there are some guys who just don't want to justify the extra expense. I understand, I just bought a set of wheels for my 94Z. I could afford 18's, but I bought 17's, just because I didn't want to spend the extra $800. I could have purchased a much more expensive wheel, but I simply didn't want to spend that much. All boils down to - what's your budget?

Me, I'm still glad I bought the Bogarts. A few thousand street miles and mine still look like new. (oh, I'm not supposed to drive 'em on the street, right? )

For the money spent how much E.T. drop are you going to see for they money, as going from pro stars to the lightest Bogarts. I guess if you have done every thing else to the car maybe.

That would be splitting hairs for sure. Weight reduction is king.. but doubt ther'd be enough there to see.
