Why Richmond?? Your best bet is going with GM if you should decide to go 4.10's again.

i sheared a richmond pinion in half, along with about half the ring.

i have gm gears now, and they are super quiet and have been good to me so far.

Around $200 - $250 for the ring/pinion/oil/additive (don't forget this)/and installation materials (shims etc...). Get Motives or GM. I had my Motive 4.10s professionally installed and they did not whine at any speed. The guy that installed mine said that it doesn't matter what ratio, or type of gear material, if it whines, it is not set up properly. Do it right the first time, and have someone with experience do it for you.

I sold a guy a new set of Richmond gears for his 10 bolt some years ago. I know the shop that installed his gears and they know what they are doing. I happened to be at the track when he ran it for the first time after the gear install. On the first launch it took the teeth off the gears. The 7.5 rear is just too tiny for the power of these cars.
