First 1/4mile results First time out to the track with this car. Weather was overcast 60* raining in the morning. Track Prep wasnt so good no one seemed to be running where they should be. Plus i have 6 year old good year eagles and 4.10's so traction was an issue.

I know its got more in it. Next time out to the track i will have new tires or some DR's.

BFG Drag radial TA are good if you really need a street tire. If you want any real traction for the strip you need to get a real track tire and keep your street tire on the street. Like anything you really can't have both worlds, a true street tire and plenty of traction at the strip.

I have nitto 555r drag radials . So far ,so good . I hook very well most of the time at the track when theyre hot and ok on the street .They seem to do well in the rain too.

I was looking at thoes. The look like a nice tire. I havent decided if im going to get a DR or a street tire. What is the life of a DR on the street?

That's not true . I drive mine in the rain without a problem . When I picked my ride up after getting it dynoed , I drove 70 mph in the rain on the parkway for 20 miles . I just use common sense and a little extra caution around turns . They re supposed to last 10,000 -15,000 miles . We'll see about that . I only have @ 2,000 on them now . Still look good .I bought the nitto's because they have actual tread on them .Not like BFG's or M/T 's . The Nitto's were a better choice for me because its almost a full D/D and they have very good street maners .

That's not true at all. It's all about how you drive. I had to drive home 40 miles in snow on ET Street Radials before. It wasn't *that* bad. I wouldn't recommend it, but you control the situation.
At the minimum, put a Nitto Drag Radial on the car. I had 18 inch BFG Comp T/A KDW tires on my 02 WS6, that went low 1.8 60's all day.

Yea, right last summer i got caught in a down pour and was OK until i came up to a overpass and hit the water running down hill and spun out and landed in the center isle and sunk in the mud but got lucky and only bent the two pass. rims and axle w/ M/T ET streets.
